Hasten Forth has been making the rounds of Bahá’í regional schools and conferences. These have been such uplifting experiences spent with loving and caring friends, that we wanted to give a shout out and say thank you to these far-flung places and people.
As mentioned in the first post, the book actually debuted at the Wings to the Spirit Conference, and we can’t wait to participate in the next one in 2012. Every artist we’ve encountered at each school and conference that has followed we’ve encouraged to check out the website and consider attending the Pensacola Beach, FL, gathering.
The pre-sale that began at Wings to the Spirit continued at the Mississippi Bahá’í School in June with a close-knit community, delicious soul-food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a full roster of joyful young people.
Our next stop was the Divine Art of Living conference in San Diego over Thanksgiving weekend. We sold all the books we brought with us and caught up with dozens of friends who converged on the town for the conference and a wedding!
We welcomed the new Gregorian year at the Louisiana Cypress Bahá’í School at Bogue Chitto State Park with a dozen adorable, deeply unified families. The air was rarefied by the release of two exciting messages from the Universal House of Justice on the eve of the first day and last day of the school.
But the fun doesn’t stop there!
At the end of this month we’ll take the books with us to our home state’s Bahá’í School – Alabama and NW Florida’s Royal Falcon School. This year’s presenter, Mr. Hooper C. Dunbar, is drawing a bigger crowd than ever to study the spiritual forces operating in our world – a recurring theme in the above-mentioned messages from the House of Justice.
And on deck is the Texas Bahá’í Bluebonnet conference! With an entire conference room in the Austin Convention Center dedicated just to vendors, this is sure to be a great opportunity to network with an army of people engaged in creative pursuits.
After that… who knows?! But it will be Ayyám-i-Há, so we’re sure to be busy!
