Hastening the release of Hasten Forth

There is so much to tell, we don’t know where to start. Our goal is to share with you much more than a coffee-table book, more than a collection of photos, quotations and narrations, more than our discoveries about how to use this book to strike up meaningful, uplifting conversations with your family, friends and neighbors. With your permission, we want to enter into a dialogue with you about using art, which is a gift, for the purpose of showing forth the praise of God. What does this really mean?

This past weekend, the Hasten Forth team launched the pre-sale of the photo book at the Wings to the Spirit conference on the Bahá’í Faith and the arts.

The theme of the conference was “Transforming Vision: Out of Darkness, Into the Visible World,” which we felt perfectly described the process of the past few years that we’ve been working on the book – taking photos, arranging them on the page, pairing them with the right quotation, placing them in the right order, all to express the vision that was in the invisible realm of our imagination, to evoke certain feelings through fashioning the visible world. Of course, the blessings throughout this process were when friends, and sometimes strangers, would be able to peer into the darkness, grasp our vision for the book and help us translate that into reality.

The conference, attended by professional artists, art hobbyists, art enthusiasts and some souls who just seem to make living an art, was the perfect place to first speak out publicly about our project. We had several opportunities to talk about the many layers of the vision, purpose and uses of the book – topics which we will begin to post on this week as we start to get the word out about the coming release of Hasten Forth.

Please stay tuned. And if you were at the conference, we’d love to hear from you. Also, many, many thanks to the participants who placed pre-orders of the book at the beautiful Hilton down in pristine Pensacola Beach! (p.s. The water is clear and the beaches are white. The caring and hard-working staff is hopeful you will not miss out this summer.)

  1. Hi! I met you at the Wings to The Spirit Conference last month! I loved your book and I remember talking to you about ordering two of them… my problem is I don’t remember if I did order them while at the conference or if I was going to wait to order them online. Can you please check and see if I have already ordered or if I need to order them now? My name is Patti Williams and I am in Trophy Club, Texas. Please let me know what I need to do because I certainly do want one for my husband and me, and one for a couple of friends of ours. Thank you! Patti
